Requesting an Image:
The Scottish Rite Masonic Museum and Library provides images of the collections for educational, commercial or personal use. Publication of images of SRMML collections is permitted only from prints, transparencies, or digital images supplied by the SRMML. Obtaining and/or publishing an image will be subject to production and use fees.
Step One: Finding an Image
To research SRMML holdings, explore collections held by SRMML either through on-line resources or with assistance from a staff member. Photography service requests that require significant staff research will be subject to a fee of $40 per hour for staff time. It is important to note the item’s title and the accession number for images to be ordered.
Step Two: Determine the Format You Want
Images are available in the following formats: digital (which can either be provided on CD or emailed), printouts on glossy paper (8 1/2" x 11" or smaller), and transparency. A full listing of costs is available on our Image Services Fee Schedule.
Step Three: Place Your Order
To request an image, please complete an Image Production and Reproduction Use Request. Please allow four weeks for your order to be completed. Rush requests will be considered individually and require an additional fee of $50 per image. The Conditions of Use on page 2 are agreed to when the form is signed by the requester.

Step Four: Determine Fees from Image Services Fee Schedule
Image Production Fees are charged for all images ordered. If an item has not been photographed, new photography fees will apply.
Reproduction Use Fees are charged if the image is to be used for publication and/or media projects. Reproduction of images is for one-time use, in one language, in one format. Each additional use requires an additional fee. All reproductions must include proper credit to the SRMML.
Join the museum (membership application) and receive a 10% discount on your production and use fees. Once the request is approved by SRMML, a staff member will contact you with a quote.
Step Five: Pay Image Production & Reproduction Use Fees
Upon acceptance of the quote, an Image Production and Reproduction Use Agreement and Invoice will be sent. Please note that reproduction rights for images are not granted until this agreement has been returned and countersigned by SRMML staff, with a copy then being returned to the requestor.
Prepayment is required. Fees are non-refundable under any circumstances. The SRMML prefers payment by check, but does accept credit cards (Visa and MasterCard).
Step Six: Delivering Your Image(s)?
Once payment is received, the image(s) will be sent by the agreed method.
